Clean and nice office; staff and Doctor are friendly, professional, and treat you with dignity. Yesterday I had an urgent need for a root canal and the Doctor and staff went above and beyond to help me. I cannot recommend this Dentist enough. Fernanda, one of the dental assistants was awesome and took great care of me. I didn’t catch her name, but the billing gal was awesome as well. Thank you, Dr. Wan and staff!
If your breath stinks, you won’t have much to celebrate on National Fresh Breath Day (August 6). You may blame foods like garlic for a persistent odor, but a dental problem may be the cause. It’s a good idea to see your dentist about bad breath.
Gum disease, dry mouth, or cavities can all cause bad breath. Your dentist will identify the root cause and help you overcome it. It may be as easy as using a tongue scraper during oral hygiene, flossing more often, or drinking more water.
A thorough professional cleaning may eliminate the problem. If a cavity is behind your bad breath, your dentist will take care of it with a filling or a crown. A dry mouth can be caused by sleep apnea. If that’s the case, a snore guard or oral appliance can help.
Watch this American Dental Association video to see some common causes of bad breath. The video also offers some advice for preventing it. If these suggestions don’t help, call Olympia Dental Center at 360-549-9659 to schedule an appointment in Tumwater, WA.
